I need to replace my Spiral Wound Bow Thruster Batteries-any recommendations please.

The boat is a Jeanneau 43DS.

When I bought the boat in 2005 I was advised to get Spiral Wound batteries for the bow thruster due to boat slamming in waves but has battery technology improved so that's not necessary now?

Spiral wound are usually expensive. Any decent AGM batteries would do just as well.

Just been to boat and they are Optima Red tops AGM.

They are available here in Portugal cheaper than the price in UK even though VAT is 23% here.

At one time the competitive nature of UK retail meant things were cheaper in UK.

No longer the case now!
