I have a Speedseal cover for my Perkins 4236M raw water pump. I know the people who used to make it have gone out of business a few years ago. Are there any sources for spares or a new cover available these days, I would like some O rings. TIA

I beleive the O-ring size is 1mm dia section X 58mm ID but suggest you measure yours to confirm. 1mm Section 58mm Bore NITRILE 70 Shore Rubber O-Rings Simply Bearings Ltd or Nitrile 58mm ID x 1.5mm C/S O Ring . Choose Quantity . 58x1.5 mm . New. Metric | eBay

I'm pretty sure there are two sizes depending on pump type.
Both are 1mm thickness, one is around 58mm ID, the other type is around 40mm ID.

It's rumoured that Speedseal products might be back in production at some time in the future.

I think you will find there are at least 3 internal diameters and 2 different sections.

Thanks for the replies. After much digging I found a spare o ring in the engine spares so i can measure it. Will post the size when I have done it.

I you go to a local seal supplier with the spare O ring they will supply you a replacement

I would buy seve as the are cheep a chips

The 4236 and the 4108 use the same impeller (at least Partsforengines sells the same impeller for both engines), my 4108 speedseal cover groove has an OD 60.5mm and ID 57.5mm
