£16.95 from Force 4, Guy Cotten brand (other suppliers available).

What would you need a sprayhood for, wafting around the rias in the sunshine and a Force 3? ;)

If god had intended us to go sailing in bad weather, he'd have given us wheelhouses! :D

Thanks…..2000 euros then I expect…….weighing up cost differences between two boat…..
Remember - cost of everything, value of nothing. Buying a boat should be led by your heart because no matter how much you apply your brain, it’ll never make sense.

How long does it take to dry out your hair shirt after each trip?

€2,000 just for a basic cover in Lefkas the other day. I think that's called testing how much the market will bear. £750 for a slightly smaller one in Scotland a few months ago.

But I note that Greek prices are usually higher than the south coast of England. I blame rich Germans.

I'm fairly sure south coast would be more than £2k for a sprayhood. Laundryman had a quote a year or so ago which was quite eye watering and came with I think an 8 month lead time. He built a GRP one instead in the end which looks a better solution anyway

Edit 2: Sail Doctor had to wait for calm to do his measuring and template making - not so common on the Forth. He said they had just ordered a digital measuring system which should make that task easier.
