I'm fairly sure south coast would be more than £2k for a sprayhood. Laundryman had a quote a year or so ago which was quite eye watering and came with I think an 8 month lead time. He built a GRP one instead in the end which looks a better solution anyway
Just for the cover? You could buy a sail for that. And I know which new one I would choose.

I tried to get a new sprayhood cover made for the Dehler before I left home but Donaghadee was too far from the conforts of Bangor marina for the man to travel (6 miles as the song goes). It is on its last legs. If I get it made cheaper here I'll let you know

On my way down to Brittany tomorrow to see how the boat has fared in the recent storms.

I suspect that I may be finding out very shortly how much a new spray hood costs, as it was already very definitely in “will it last another season ? territory”

Keep the old one and put it on the boat in the winter. My old one looks dreadful but still does a useful job.

I was going to take it off and stow it after the cruise I had planned for mid September.

Unfortunately, those plans got scrapped for family reasons, and I was unable to get down there.

Good plan. I will do that (if it’s not completely destroyed).

Pleased to report that the sprayhood has withstood the worst that the recent storms could throw at it. IMG_0655.jpeg
