I'm considering to use this product: www.spartite.com
instead of the traditional but troublesome wedges at the partners of my keel stepped mast. Needs to be done anyway.
Anybody experience with this stuff?

Brilliant stuff- tape your mast-partners or deck-ring with a single layer of buff-tape, lube that with vaseline, and make sure the dam you build under the deck aperture is absolutely water [spartite???]-tight, and shore the mast so it's ABSOLUTELY true with the right pre-bend, etc. The buff-tape's so you can get the stick out of the hole should you ever ship your boat or yank the stick! Clean the tape off next time you yank the stick, and you'll have a .1mm gap to seal- a slip of vaseline or the application of exactly 3/4 of a metric fingerful of White Shite (goop-a-flex) round the gap'll make it perfectly sealed. Look here for some other thoughts in a racer-ish vein...
Oh- I almost forgot- if your luff-groove's not filled, you gotta fill it before you pur the spartite in! And another thing- make sure your mast-partners are dead level- "shim" the boat by trimming it with buckets/crew (do they ever move, really?) and double-check with a torpedo level.
