Every year we are told the SBS is bigger, brighter, with more attractions etc but I wonder what the general consensus is. Is it just more of the same? Are there some must see items? What do you think?

I went last year, before that late 80's. Absolutely horrified by the overwhelming MOBO against sailing. London is better IMHO for raggies. Though I was thrown of a cornish crabber for going aboard wearing shoes, my street shoes in my backpack as I had changed to wear my white deck shoes so I could climb over the yachts. It worries me about all these sailors wandering about their vessels wearing only socks.

Southampton is better if you want to climb over bigger boats, or test sail, otherwise it will be a good few years again before I revisit.

Well unless there's going to be a second story it can't get bigger on land, but I suppose they might have added more pontoons.

Tomorrow I shall be going as a visitor in my own right for the first time in 13 years.

Did you see the Dufour 40? I've bought it, but not seen it, and can't get to the show. Please tell me they're looking after it!
I'd rather have smelly socks than dirty deck shoes on my boat anyday!
