Went to the show on Friday. Really enjoyable day out as the sun was shining and not to busy, so could pretty much get on any boat we wanted to straight away.

Thought I would just post some pictures from the day.

We went yesterday, had a look at a lot of boats but unfortunately some I wanted to see again were missing this year.

Also, how do you get on a Fairline boat? All those barriers!

To be fair to them it has always been the same with Fairline. They pretty much want to know that if everything is ok you're going to depo up there and then. At the very least they want a specific date when you'll be changing.

I always remember a few years ago when I was a Fairline owner feeling very unwelcome indeed. Princess have always had a pretty open house arrangement to the point where I used to feel a bit guilty knowing I was never going to buy a new boat off them. Well until I bought a new boat off them :)

I'm not saying we bought off Princess because of their policy at shows or didn't buy a Fairline for theirs but it did make it easy knowing the Princess range as we did. I'm big and ugly enough to get past a Rottweiler in a smart dress suit if I fancy a poke around one of their tubs but it is a bit off putting.

Maybe they think it keeps the dreamers and wasters off keeping space for actual boaters but in reality I find the day trippers pretty thick skinned and happy to stand there until they get on so I don't think it works.

Fairline would probably call it being proactive.

As has been said just go up and say hello I'd like to have a look at a few boats. Then be prepared for the third degree about what you've got, where you keep it, when are you thinking of changing, what are you looking for, how much do you want to spend and so on :)

Henry :)
