It's a great tool.I think it was here that I discovered that, having a flat roof, the optimum angle was 20⁰ because a greater angle would produce shading to the next row; and that would outweigh the better efficiency. Even then, at our English latitude, we get mainly naff all Dec-Jan.
I'm about to install solar at home, and I've been fine tuning the angle. Maximum annual production for me is at 39⁰, but for a holiday house occupied in the summer, I'm better off at a much steeper angle which 'wastes' potential mid summer production in order to boost shoulder season performance.
Maybe I'm just a big geek who needs to get out more, but I find this quite fascinating...
