Sos - aussies in need of assistance

But won't that delay their departure even more

There is that risk, on the other hand, if she does this again elsewhere, you will have a successful court case to refer to.

You have certainly been put to significant additional expenditure - marina fees etc

The boat does not accrue marina fees whilst arrested, that's what part of the deposit is for to pay the storage fees.

Update

The 75 days have finally elapsed, and the claimant has asked for another week to prepare her case, this has unsurprisingly been declined! The OP now has to file for a dismissal and wait for that to be granted before they can have their fuel injectors back and continue on their journey.

well it sounds as if an unpleasant episode is coming to a conclusion.

Did the police / harbour authorities extract the injectors asa means of keeping the boat static ? If so, what remedies are you seeking for unlawful / malicious detention ?

Yes, the injectors were removed to stop the boat from going anywhere. The OP may come and answer specific questions once the whole episode is sorted. Until then I'll post updates as they become available. I know that many people are interested to hear the final outcome.

A message to all theose who scream TROLL! every time an unusual post appears.

Firstly, ask yourself what the poster stands to gain by telling lies. Maybe a bit of attention and a feeling of satisfaction of having deceived us.

Next, what if they are telling the truth? On the face of it, these are people in a highly distressing situation asking for advice (not money or other material help).

Then ask yourself what effect your cry of 'LIAR!' could have.

-If they are on a wind-up, have you done anything to benefit the forum community or prevent a crime?

-If they are telling the truth, can you live with the fact that you have added considerably to the distress of some very vulnerable people?

p.s. a British colony is probably one of the better places to be if you want justice. Think carefully where else you stop afterwards. Adding language difficulties, dubious legal systems and bribeable police could make things even more difficult. The fact that the stalker hasn't presented a case seems to indicate her interest is in causing you as much pain as possible. Imagine the scope she would have in some countries.

+1

I seem to remember saying something similar way back at the start of this thread.

They are not in Manchester or Liverpool SL ;)

Or London according to the Leveson Enquiry

Glad it's been sorted

However, they should be glad now that she has paid their winter storage.

Who ever refits the injectors should also make sure that the engine actually turns over, as in winter without injectors, it could be nipped up
