Yachtsman Sonsy Lass found himself in trouble when his boat was caught in a storm off the coast of Pembrokeshire, west Wales. With the boat heading towards the rocks, he abandoned ship with his dog, Tammy.
Cocker Spaniel Tammy sat on Sonsy's head while he swam breast stroke to the edge of the cliffs. Once at the shore, he had to climb the cliffs to safety, so he carried the dog up the 120ft cliff with his teeth. Sonsy said (between clenched teeth): "Tammy was fine about it - she was certainly more scared about being in the water."
And
A woman from Tylerstown in the Rhondda has banned her Welsh husband from wearing his kilt because it's attracting too much attention from other women.
Sonsy Lass spent £300 on his Welsh tartan kilt and wore it down his local pub, where some curious women wanted to know what he was wearing underneath. Mr Lass allowed one of them to find out for herself ... just as his wife walked into the pub.
Father of five and married for 25 years, Mr Urch explained: "I follow the Scottish tradition and never wear underpants under my kilt. When Catherine caught me being felt up like that it went down like a lead balloon."
Mrs Lass threw a video recorder at her husband, hit him, cut his kilt up and tried to set it on fire.
A spokesman for the Welsh Tartan Centre said:"Mr Lass may well be a fashion trail-blazer."
