Working cannon and powder, for signalling distress etc. Bases Cowes but will collect.
PM coming today, thanks.Gary
Seriously, our club has two we no longer require, they are currently with a gunsmith with instructions to sell them. Not sure they take gunpowder, shot gun cartridges more likely. If you interested, I shall make inquries. Transport from Scotland may be an issue?
Incorrect.Hope you have a shotgun cert, otherwise the no-fun-police will be knocking.
You can't have an unlicensed cannon, unless you are a church member! The govt seem to think it is a firearm, so a piece of paper saying you're not a miscreant and will behave is quite important.

OK, strictly speaking it's a Firearm Certificate. Certainly needed for our club's starting cannon (10-bore and 12-bore cartridges).Incorrect.
Are you sure about that? We had a Canon in the parish and he was licensed. You can't have an unlicensed cannon, unless you are a church member!
I don't suppose you know a good source for 10-bore blank cartridges? So much more of a BANG! than 12-bore, but hard to get hold of (and pricey!)Winchester 10 bore Cannon are classed as a firearm as short barreled, They are quite sought after & command good money.
I think the wadding alone would be a hazard to anyone down range!A couple of friends who are divers offered me a 22 pounder for the boat foredeck but it was too big, so I said if they ever found a signal cannon I would happily have it

Black powder even better, lots and lots of very visible smokeI don't suppose you know a good source for 10-bore blank cartridges? So much more of a BANG! than 12-bore, but hard to get hold of (and pricey!)
I have resorted to the instinctive behaviour of my species, and prudently retreated to my burrow to avoid prying eyes..Did you find your cannon Mr Fox ?
