Just watched the Space Shuttle lift off. Impressive, even from our marina, which is about 150 miles from Canaveral. At night it's even better and the boosters can be seen falling away. Just thought someone might be interested:)

We were lucky enough to see the Shuttle go up three years ago, absolutely mind blowing power.

The Saturn V's of thirty years ago.must have been really spectacular.

Saw it 2 years ago at 07:00 hrs on a clear blue cold morning in March, used my camcorder and still watch it absolutley mind blowing even 7 miles away as close as we could go. Made my trip to Florida complete and it was free. Maybe see it again if our trips over there coinside with a launch. For info there is the NASA website which has all the shuttle launch time table on. Can't remember the address but the search engines should find it no problem.

We were on hols in Orlando just before Xmas when the shuttle was due to go up, and intended to drive as close as possible to see it. Sadly it was postponed. and then suffered a series of further delays, so we had left before it launched. We were really disappointed - it must be an awesome sight to see "live"

Nicho- we drove across (3+hr) to see one of the launches last year only to see it postponed, but we drove back the next day and were rewarded by the spectacular sight (and sound) of the launch. We only recently realised that we can see it from Sarasota, where we are. Not quite the same as from 7 miles, but a great sight, all the same.
