I am wondering how many hours an experienced VP trained engineer should typically take to perform first 200hr service on a D6-400 & DPI? Also the hourly rate from a UK VP dealer? The parts and oils I purchased/supplied, so not interested in that. The rate is probably the issue since I was present for most of the service and we seemed to progress efficiently. Access the engineer told me was very good.
Long term I will do it, used to service my own aircraft, but water system on boats is additional, and besides am currently locked in by VP warranty.
Thoughts?

I used to service two D6 engines and drives including new bellows in a day at my last job with a Volvo dealer and that cost around £3000 here in Norway. Don’t know about the UK but here its not legal to claim the servicing is done by a dealer to maintain the warranty, only requirement is to follow the schedule and use original parts.
