Hmm, still looks a bit 'added on'. Not as pretty as the SC39 IMHO. Still, I think the SC29 is bloody aweful and they seem to sell more than the open, so I must be wrong.
Yup, just hiked off the front page, but not seen any mention of it so far, hence the post.
No technical details so far, but if they've reused the S38 hull, it could be D4-260's thru D6-350's. Interesting to see if they use IPS, my guess would be not.
I keep looking at the SC29 and wanting to like it, but it's something about the way that huge roof sticks up at that angle at rest, it reminds me of a modified Sierra Cosworth.
But inside, the layout does work. Cockpit is good, apart from that my view is obscured out of the sides if I stand.
Quite like that, although those rear "butresses" are a bit Jag XJS. Drop the rear of screen to the deck, have the rear section flush, and it would almost be good looking!
easiest would be D4/6s on DPH legs but they have been mucking about with IPS for a while now and I see they are listed on Volvo's website as a new user of IPS. Think it is a bit of a race / catch up now to see which British builder gets an IPS boat to a show first, my guess its a close thing at the moment between Fairline's new Targa 44 and Sealine.
I ordered an S38 at the Southampton show. Sealine then called to say mine will be the last made and the S38 will be replaced by this SC39 thing. Still dont know if I am doing the right thing, but seeing that, I think I am!
So if you want to be outside you have to perch on the bathing platform or stand on the foredeck? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Ok so you've got an opening roof so when you're inside you can have some fresh air, but personally I don't go boating to sit indoors, open roof or not. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
