So my 50 foot cat was built with a bridle system off a front beam to take the forestay. This means the forestay starts a couple of feet above the beam and I want to change it for a seagull striker so I can take the forestay all the way to the beam.
I can use the bridle strong points to attach the martingale wire across the beam (over the striker) but I'm struggling to find anyone who sells Seagul strikers which suggests they are all perhaps made for a boat / load - often it seems from repurposed spreaders
Are these things for sale? Is there anywhere I can find information on how to design a set if I need to make my own. I can fabricate in alloy or composites well enough to make anything on the boat I just need to find out what the design parameters are ...
Its a very conservatively rigged boat (Prout Quasar 50) so probably not stressed enough to be a big deal if I wing it but always best to ask first!
