They are very good, I know I probably seem biased but they are very good rafts for the money. I used to service liferafts for a living so know a thing or two.
Ive got one, it looks very nice in it's cradle and nice white cannister.
Thankfully I have not yet been in a position where I can give any details as to the operability of it.
However they do seem to be the best of the budget buys according to most people.
I really wanted a Viking but it's twice the price of the seago.
Soonish after they were launched (he he) one was used in anger in the Irish Sea I seem to recall. The occupants were drifting around for quite a few days before they were spotted off the north Devon (?) coast. I had a look at one at the boatshow and chatted to one of the directors and went straight off to buy one......
Can you get in it from a turbulent sea? An RYA survival course convinced me to go for a boarding platform; trying to find floppy webbing straps without being able to see them even in a pool is "interesting". What is the Seago provision? You should also look for a ladder with rungs right across to the other side of the raft; hauling yourself in on a rope is also "interesting" especially with cold wet hands.
You'll never use it but if you do it would be handy if it worked.
