Sailing to Ulster with a ham sandwich on board?

As I understand the regulations, you can bring your ham sandwiches, milk & pork pies across to N. Ireland on your boat, but you can't take them ashore with you.

My wife and I bought an antelope's head in an Edinburgh antique shop and brought it back to Belfast on the plane. I made her carry it in the airport and she got the usual badinage - "have you been to a stag party?" When we got to Belfast they were going to confiscate it as an animal product. I said it may have been an animal many decades ago, but it's not one now. They let us go and Abigail still hangs on the hallway wall.

Aha, that explains why there are no live antelopes around Newtownards these days.

I always sail with a few pasties from the west country. When I get to France will I have to declare it to customs ?
It may be British beef.......

As jersey isn’t part of the EU isn’t the situation the same as it always was in taking your jersey M&S sandwiches and milk to St Malo?
