Dilute oxalic acid will convert it to ferrous oxalate which is soluble and can be rinsed out with water.

I'd test the oxalic acid on the fabric first.
I'd rinse with diluted oxalic acid before the final rinse with water.
The alternative to oxalic acid is the "Brown stain remover" Stain Devil which should be available from any decent hardware shop. (That's based on sodium hydrosulphite) Not sure if it's still available though
