Does anyone have a jet ski on the back of a jeanneau prestige 36 I’m thinking of doing this but not sure about space any tips appreciated

Jet Skis are a lot of fun.
It's just a bit OTT to be carrying one around on a 36ft boat.
A 10hp engine on the back of a tender would also be fun.
Although a 36 foot Prestige doesn't have a massive bathing platform, so might be tricky anyway weight aside.

I do hope after razzing a jetski round the anchorage of an afternoon, you intend to fire up your sound system to 11 for sundowners in the cockpit and then keep your generator running all night.
To be fair, we have friends with a jetski on the back of a 55ft Squadron. They motor to one of the local ski areas to play around on it. Owning a jetski doesn't automatically make you an anti-social oik.

I don't know if you have seen "Below Deck", but my style is more akin to grumpy Captain Lee, with headphones or a Kindle at anchor,

Thanks for the reply’s I was thinking of the Hurley Davit but if it’s too heavy I’ll just leave it

Hi John. I was also thinking Hurley but you could also look into Nordav. I have seen this system installed and it actually turned out cheaper than Hurley. I know that my local boatyard has installed several of these davit systems. It might be the same with yours, and you could ask them how to test the strength of your platform.

Our boat is bigger but so was our Jetski
Jetskis are a liability - manoeuvrability and harder than a tender requires careful planning at anchor, especially when approaching the mother ship.
They are also notoriously un-reliable - a bit like JetRibs.

But that didn't stop me having one for a couple of years - ours was a monster - capable of 75 mph
I planned for it to go onto the Flybridge but we never lifted it that far - put the tender on the Flybridge with the JetSki on the bathing platform.
We have a crane that lifted them on / off

The sparks are quick and in relative terms for a ski quite light.

They are also very unstable when not underway. We looked at one some years ago as a tender replacement. There were many reasons why we did not do it but one was that using it as a tender was not really that practical as if nothing else 2 adults getting on stood a decent chance of rolling it over without being very careful.

It is a lot of weight on the back of a small boat but you may or may not find that just using tabs sorts it to a point it is acceptable
