Having just bought a RIB now need to insure it. Spoke to my current insurers and they will not touch it if it's left on a pontoon or a mooring.

Anyone got any recommendations of who to speak to?

hmmmm - sounds great if they have put that in writing - send it to another insurer as evidence from an underwritter that 'no one will touch it when left unattended on a pontoon or mooring' and ask for a discount on thier normal rate.

We have no problem insuring a RIB afloat if it is more than 5m long. Smaller boats can be insured afloat, depending on where the boat is kept and the size of the engine.

For further details have a look at our RIB Insurance page.

He's not knocking Saga, just having a dig at me, Billy2s was given that name many years ago when out diving with me.........................

Oh he's also know as big fat [--word removed--], amongst many other things!
