Simple enough question I hope. My boats now on a swinging mooring in Poole Harbour - how can I take on freshwater without shelling out for a marina berth in order to do so?
If we are in the harbour for more than a couple of days we usually go into the marina for a short stay which we use for showers, shopping and filling up the water tanks.
You have a swinging mooring without being a club member? Might be worth joining one for this sort of thing - Parkstone maybe. And they'll run you out to your mooring
Just checked with the Poole Quay marina and they say we can go in just to pick up water without charge. Avoid morning/evening traffic.
Or a 4 hour short stay would cost us (28ft) £7.
If you've got a mooring, hence paying harbour dues, you should have no difficulty.
