my boat is a triana 25 apparently 1969/ 70 vintage.
though she may have been one of the two in the 1969 round britain race.
but unfortunatley after studying a copy of "ride the white horses" (film of the race) neither appears to be my boat.
picture of the triana at the back of MBM (or was it MBY?) is a 1975 model,
my screen and coachroof are curved so match the round britain boats in style.
i want to learn as much as possible about triana's
e.g. builder and is there a boat number hidden some where?
any info. related to triana or soni levi will be welcome.
while i am at it WHAT THE HELL DOES TRIANA MEAN?
ancient calculator? "three rivers" ? in spanish????? answers on a postcard

Thought we had done this... my old memory is going. The Triana was built by Triana Boats (Poole) Ltd and designed by Renato Levi. Originally she would have had Volvo 170s driving through Volvo 270 legs and could do 45 mph. I can't tell about the build number on most craft these days that is stamped on the exterior stern transom quite high up. If yours was Part 1 registered then there will be a carving somewhere. If you have the boat's original name then you may find out a bit more from an old copy of Lloyds *IF* it was listed.

i have also been re-engined with a pair of 146 h.p. petrol volvo penta, i can't remember the model (got it written down at home somewhere?)
so i am good for about 35 - 40 knot (log a bit wonkey!) hope to check with GPS in santa is good to me.
these 4 pot engines are obviously lighter than the 6 pots that were in before. So i will need to move the bilge pump to under the cabin deck (as the cabin is almost flooded before the aft pump kicks in!).
the previous owner fitted them in 1992, but i am glad he fitted petrol engines. Other wise i could never have aforded buy a boat!
