After this time, all radio calls on VHF Channels 11 and 13 are to use the callsign “King’s Harbour Master” or “KHM”.

When I kept my boat in Portsmouth the norm seemed to be "QHM Portsmouth" so it’s really not a big deal to change to KHM.

'Cos there is a HM at the Commercial Port as well as Q(K)HM. Admittedly the Commercial one monitors Ch13 and Q(K)HM Ch 11 but they have been known to operate both.

In Plymouth we call 'Longroom' or 'Flag' depending where you are. They are always very polite and helpful.

I suspect that the two remaining “aging Queens” as Freddie referred to the band are quite happy as they are. The question there is when will they stop touring!
