I slapped on some good thick gungy axle grease more to prevent anyone deciding to nick the prop. Result of doing this was effective anti foul!

after I bought the 388 the whole lot was copper antifouled after reading the survey report they advised to remove it all, the cleaner the props the more bite into the water.

Apart from any anti-fouling not adhering to the sterngear because its all whizzing round and round, you dont want to do anything to affect the efficiency of the props and shafts by plastering them with a rough coating of anything. The best you can do is to remove all fouling, get any damage to the prop blades repaired and polish them. You might consider putting antifoul on the P bracket though it probably wont stay for long and check the cutless bearing has minimum play whilst you're there.
BTW, whats the news on your engine probs?
