Try Anodes Direct - good prices and they have most stuff - you got a lot of stuff done by your seller - sounds more like improvements than remedial
Yeah definitely improvements. Like you said most stuff done by seller. I’ll try Anodes Direct. TxTry Anodes Direct - good prices and they have most stuff - you got a lot of stuff done by your seller - sounds more like improvements than remedial
Are you bringing her up to Cameron House? So survey negotiations are all complete. Seller completing some remedial works, not quite as much as I had hoped but life is all about compromise and overall I’m happy with the final negotiation. We will complete end of February.
A list of works that I want done before we truck her to her new berth has been given to the broker to get priced up. List includes, new carpets, anchor/engine/aft deck cameras, engine monitoring upgrade, new blinds, new mirrors, gel repairs, teak deck renovation, extra power sockets, USB C outlets, engines/ genny/IPS/platform/sunroof/AC/eber full services, anti foul & new LED Aft Sign.
Also need to swap the salt water anodes to Magnesium for fresh water use. How does someone select these? Any recommendations on a good quality provider that can quote me based on the model of the boat?
Yes, that’s the current plan. Are you bringing her up to Cameron House?
Will be one of the nicest boats on the Loch. Will keep an eye out.Yes, that’s the current plan.
There are only one type of anode for the IPS which is aluminium, the exhaust anodes are cast iron , all of which allegedly suit any type of water , I’ve not seen the pictures of the lower stern , you could have ACP , active corrosion protection system fitted which has one central hull anode connected to the machinery . The agent you employed should tell you this information. So survey negotiations are all complete. Wow, best of luck, hope this goes well. Lovely boat!Getting closer to completion now. We’re scheduled to complete next Thursday, so starting to get excited! Although my bank manager isn’t so excited!
We’re scheduled to leave Weymouth next Saturday so booking flights for my dad and sons to fly down next Friday for the very short cruise to Portland.
Engines, Genny, AC, Pods getting serviced on Monday by Golden Arrow/Nauticool, Portland lift out on Tuesday then at the yard for a few jobs getting done by KPM Marine. Depending on times, we will then organise for Coast2Coast to transport her to Cameron House.
Lots of other planning going on for her arrival. More on that later.
Thanks pal.Wow, best of luck, hope this goes well. Lovely boat!
Ive only got the original broker pics. The ones I’ve got been taking are close up pics to help me remember what’s there etc. I’ll post the original pics tomorrow when I’m at work.@47GC , send us a lot of photos! this is my dream boat (except for the IPS...)
Yes, trucking it. I did consider sailing her, but the time & effort required put me off. Much easier to just lift it on to a truck.Look forward to seeing them! How will you get the boat up to Scotland? Presume that’s a road trip?
Probably the best call unless you specifically fancied the trip. Would be a great delivery trip over a few weeks, pottering up the coast and into the Clyde estuary, lift out there maybe.Yes, trucking it.
