My GRP sheathed deck is painted with Interdeck Stone which is now discontinued.
I want to match the colour to part repaint. The only solution I can come come up with is getting Homebase to colour scan and mix a Dulux exterior masonry paint to which I could then add sand to give none slip finish. I don't know if this will work, any other ideas?

mixing sand into paint is the old way ..... there is a better additive for paint sold by people like International special for the job.

But if you cant find it - sand will do it ..... but NOT yellow builders sand - its too 'wet' ........ silver sand for play=pits is the stuff.

I have been using Dulux fine textured masonary paint for many years and usually needs a one coat every 5 years. It is very non-slip. It is water based and very easy to apply and dries completely in less than an hour. Check to see if any of their standard colours match yours, or why not just do the whole lot. It comes in a plastic container and has a 5-year-plus shelf life.

Hope this helps.

I used Sandtex textured masonry paint for many years. It comes with the sand already in it, gives a non-slip surface, is available in many colours (including "stone") and is relatively cheap. Yes, it is a latex emulsion, but stands up well to wear. Having said all that I have not bought it for a long time (it comes in 5 litre drums) so I don't know if it is still available.
