The impellor pumps straight up to the bottom of the engine block so it's cooled by being in cold water

Electric outboard conversion is going to go super well I think ??

Have you thought about gearing Or are you just going to plop a washing machine motor in place of the engine

There is no gearing on on the top end , and after your bellows debacle, I don’t think you can comment.

Well I was warned!?

My apologies for the late response BB.

I’ve had a few difficulties with my internet.
Discovered a small ‘leak’ from one of my internet ports, so had to shut the router down.
Just like that big gas company which lies to the east of Europe.………

The Motor can be ac or dc……but I wouldn’t recommend using a long shore-power cable for the ac version!?

Voltage is around 375v……you’re unlikely to get a battery at Halfords.

I don’t know what your plan is………but a 75kw battery might be a ‘tad heavy for a small tender?

I’m sure Bouba could answer your questions a lot better. It’s the same stuff that’s in his car.
He may even have a ‘spare’ motor and battery lying around somewhere??

It will be an AC motor driven the batteries will be in a grp box moulded not the central seat , charging can be an issue but I may fit a dc to dc charger socket at the stern of the boat .

Well thanks for reply , that is why I need to know what a say 3.5 hp revs puts out at top end , as I might have to offset motor to give the right speed , ps it will be a dc motor brushless. 24volt

ROLLUP! ROLLUP!
I'm holding beer bets 50:1 that Seacock's lower gearbox fizzes away leaving just the gears and plastic propeller within a fortnight.
