After many years of sailing on a freinds Jaguar 27 & latterly a Bavaria 34, we are just in the process of buying our first boat. It's a Snapdragon 26, and my reason for this post is to ask for any experiences or knowledge you may have of this model that you could share with us.
Thank you in advance for you help.....

Martin,

A steady boat for your first boat, but if your friends want to race don't put any money on it unless it's to come last.

Only pulling your leg!

Enjoy.

What is the difference between a Pompey and an Argyle Fan?
The Pompey fan has someone to talk to!

Welcome to the joys of boat owning. Say bye bye to any feelings of wealth!

I bought a Snapdragon 24 last year, also my first boat. Generally, they're solidly built, safe and predictable. I know of 24s that have crossed the North and Irish Seas and been all over Brittany, so they can make decent passages in their own time.

Off the wind I've surprised a few much bigger boats; just don't expect to make much progress beating against the tide. On Snapdragons, that's what the engine's for.
