Watch this guy like a hawk, He comes from Rossendale, ask im if it's the posh end or with the scrotes.

Find out which pubs he uses, always a sign of the character.

After a few checks, it might be a good idea, to only give him a provisional licence. Depending on the size of the fun box of course.:D

Welcome aboard Mike,

No need to be shy, just get stuck in.

FYI your boat requires to be fitted with a fully stocked funbox in case of emergencies. An emergency is signalled by the arrival of one or more NW Mobsters & the treatment required is to open a few bottles or cans for strictly social lubrication.

Where are you based now & are you thinking of moving?

ok I am a hillbilly sheep farming above Lumb- is that scrote ville i dont know ?.Anyway I have already beneffitted from advice from NW notably Searush and also Kawasaki who kindly sent me a back copy of the MBM which i thought was above the call and I greately appreciated that.

As for the much quoted fun box then yes on board BUT to answer Searush I am in Liverpool Marina so perhaps too far for you folks who seem to moor in Wales and Anglesey so i reckon its safe.

Do i get a provisional??

Not on your life it's just about the middle of where we all live and at the most 40min drive for most. :D
30 for me.
O and if they come across the bay from PD 12hrs 14 at the most. and don't forget the boys from Glasson and Preston. not to mention I.O.M. and the east coast of Irland.
Arrr the midnight race to I.O.M. last did that in 98.:)
So believe me your not safe.:D:D

Liverpool Marina I think most will know it well I have spent the lat 52 years off and on in there. It used to be very smelly:eek: in the early days and the old docks in the 1960s bin there as well.
And rushies yoof stamping ground was only just across the river.:D

Liverpool marina? Bah, humbug. I did my sea scout Anchor Badge in Salthouse dock, rowing a whaler in 1960. Old Salt was probably Chief Engineer on a tramp berthed there at the time. :D

Originally I was berthed in the Dee, but every time we spent a week on the boat we had a 12 hour passage to Conway & back which took 2 days out of the holiday. The only answer is to berth in the best scenery from the start. A car trip to Conway is only about 90 mins & a couple of gallons of fuel. Compare that to 12 hours on a raggie, or 3 hours (& 40 gall) on a Mobo :D

Not mine I could get to Scotland with that much fuel....... mind you if Kwacker was with me the fun box might use that much :)

Tom

True, but you're in the Raggie category of taking all day to get there aren't you? Got to be at least a 5-7 hour passage for you depending on tides and even longer if you need to stop on a sandbank to exercise the sea-going attack whippets. It would take you all day just to get out of the Mersey against a spring flood.

Not had a 40' raggie than can keep up yet, but you are right.... I lose time exercising the whippets :)

Spent several years in Liverpool, I have to say it was good as it's walking distance from the centre..... but it's 1 1/2hrs to the fairway marker before you decide which way to go then it's 30 some miles :(

Thats why we moved
