Just wait till I get Mercia III back in the water then you will be very welcome to come and laze in her cockpit with a glass of scotch to hand and eye them all looking at her with envy.
Mind I've got to get her there first.:D

Sorry not to have responded earlier Robin, we have been at PD since Friday afternoon with no wifi as Kwackers says. We've been busy cleaning the boat and taking pictures for the sales 'brochure' but we can help next weekend if you need it. Could be interesting with no engine though!

Hee Hee, sorry mate, I'm in the Dylan Winter school on this one. I'd rather be sat in SR's cockpit admiring Mercia than in Mercia's cockpit having to look at SR. :p :D

BTW, great thread, lovely to see all the codgers out & about sniping from the sidelines again.

Almost like old times - where's Debs & Haydn?

we're at home, round hospital appointments, as Haydn broke his collar bone in two places, H's now bashed the back door in, & is still not fit to go boating. Henry (the dog) is in fine fettle, eating everything in sight, never had a dog that liked pickled red cabbage. Maybe its the owners

TILBURY? Who's got their titles in a flummox then, there's no way that's Tilbury. Like the opening title says, that's the East Float, Birkenhead. I have spent many happy hour around there in my yoof. Anyway HMS Conway was based off New Ferry at the time so they would hever have towed her round to Tilbury from the Mersey.

Did anybody spot Masefield on board? :D
