UKHO Permanent/Temporary/Preliminary

1. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. -
Two very slight reductions of depth in the centre of the Deep Water line of the Princes Channel abaft the Princes No 6 PHB and one reduction at the Princes No 7 SHB. Unlikely to hinder leisure craft and unlikely where we ought to be!

2. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - One slight increase of depth just off Tilbury, River Thames. Unlikely to hinder leisure craft!

3. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - Three reduction of depth in and around the Sunk Inner Precautionary Area. Unlikely to hinder leisure craft.

4. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - One reduction of depth in the Medway, close south of the Grain Hard SHB. Unlikely to hinder leisure craft though.

All rather unexciting!

My pride in passage planning is........ in tatters. A year ago we were at Heathrow when there were the 100mph wind - delay, delay, delay.
Tomorrow at Heathrow is predicted for FOG! We have a connection via Paris to meet!

But last year we arrived in a tropical storm, no current warnings!:)

When there is nuffin to do we tend to eat Lobster.

Capt Matthew Flinders a famous British navigator and cartographer in 1803 was detained on Mauritius for six years at the pleasure of the French Governor. I wonder if he enjoyed the lobster. Probably couldn't get Rost Bif.

Hey ho.
And I returned from Hong Kong today to land in fog! It was a bit disconcerting watching the view from the camera on the tail fin and realising that we were descending into cloud at ground level!

I can report that the fog was not much of a problem but a strike in Paris delayed the connection 4 hours1 Which gave us 25 minutes to exit the flight and connect to the Air Mauritius flight. There were only two flights in that terminal; our arrival and our departure. Utterly deserted. The skipper of the Air Mauritius flight told us later he was happy to wait as there was favorable winds which knocked off an hour off the flight. They especially waiting for the luggage to get transferred to the flight. V. nice people.

I can report there is excellent weather -29-33 degrees. That will do.
