UKHO Permanent/Temporary/Preliminary Notices
1. New Editions of ADMIRALTY Small Craft Charts to be published on 5th October, 2023 -
SCC 5607.3 Outer Approaches to the River Blackwater, 1:50,000; SCC 5607.4 Southern Approaches to Harwich, 1:50,000:
Includes full updates for New Edition and Notices to Mariners affecting source charts.
2. BELGIUM - Buoy. - The new north cardinal buoy placed west of the Oostende harbour (guarding two old wrecks) vide NtM 427(T) earlier this year is now moved slightly more to the west and towards the shore.
3. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - Five reductions of depth, one just south of the SW Holm SHB and 4 between the South Holm cardinal buoy and Newcombe Sand PHB. Unlikely to hinder leisure craft but the trend of the south entrance of the Stanford Channel is to shallow.
4. FRANCE - North Coast - NM Block. -
A new UKHO block showing the outer commercial basin of Calais harbour is issued.
5. FRANCE - North Coast - Depths. - Two reduction of depth on the Binnen Ratel bank (one of the banks off Dunkerque). Now quite shallow and not marked. Note on the image the ODAS superbuoy is deleted as notified in an earlier NtM.
6. NETHERLANDS - Light. - The sector light at the Oostgat point (on the Dutch Walcheren coast by Westkepelle) is temporarily extinguished.
Local
1. Raysand Buoy – River Crouch - NAVIGATION -
Raysand Buoy – River Crouch - Mariners are advised that the Raysand Buoy is currently not in its charted position and should not be used for navigation. (I have a new chartlet under production which will be completed on 19th September. PM me if you want anything before that date when it will be posted on the Downloads page).
2. The Wash Ports – River Nene - Buoy moves - following buoy moves within the Nene Ports area of jurisdiction. The new positions are:
Buoy No 7 Green Cone Fl (3)G. 5s N52,50.889 E000,13.173
Buoy No 9 Green Cone Fl.G.3s N52,50.951 E000,12.951
3. The Wash Ports – River Nene - UPDATED - Cross Keys bridge Replacement hydraulic Ram /Not being able to OPEN on the Following Dates 11-13th September - there will be some scaffold erected on eastern end of the underside of the Cross keys bridge while undergoing maintenance works Starting on the 11th- September – 13th September 2023, for a short while the charted width of the opening temporarily reduced ,by 1.0 m Mariners are therefore advised transiting under or through the Cross keys bridge to take care of the obstruction. This LNTM will remain in force until cancelled.

A pretty light crane so I think 'bags' will be the technique. Going to be heavy added by 5 months of silt.

Cancel the Crouch Notice above about the Ray Sand buoy. The Ray Sand buoy is (still) in the correct position of 51º 39.84’ N, 001º 00.57’ E.
