UKHO Permanent/Temporary/Preliminary Notices
1. ENGLAND - East Coast - Wreck. - Continuation of new issues in the Wallet from Northern Wind’s extensive survey in the winter of 2023/24. This a wreck with over 8m so unlikely to hinder leisure craft – but might be a popular place for a pot! Midway between Wallets Nos ½ and ¾.
2. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - Two reductions of depth in Ridham Dock, The Swale. One at 1.1m at the entrance, the other at 1m towards the end of the dock.
3. ENGLAND - East Coast - Outfall. Buoyage. Works. - A preliminary notice warning of Outfall works marked by yellow buoys off from the shore at Whitstable close to the NCI.

1. Harwich Haven - Surveyed Depths – Harwich Deep Water Channel – Update 3 - Mariners are advised that hydrographic surveys have identified reduced depths in the Harwich Deep Water Channel. The minimum available depth of water on the centreline is approx. 15.6m below chart datum, with shallower sections towards the channel edges (as per survey data). This local notice to mariners is cumulative and replaces notice 08-2024 which is now withdrawn. There are 7 pages of chartlets that you can download in the Local List at: Notices to Mariners
2. River Medway – Saltpan Reach - Grain LNG Jetty 10 – Maintenance Work - programme of maintenance work is due to take place at Isle of Grain LNG Jetty 10. Work is expected to commence on Monday 3rd June 2024 and is expected to run for a period of 4 – 5 months. The 1st phase of maintenance will be carried out Monday-Friday only, no work is anticipated at the week-ends and will include shotblasting and painting of all jetty piles from a floating pontoon and the installation of sacrificial anodes by divers. The diving operations section of the programme is expected to start in July 2024. Craft involved will be the ‘Avocet’ , ‘Storemoor’ and a small rib tender ‘Retriever’, day signals for respective operations will displayed by all craft who will maintain a listening watch on VHF 74. The 2nd phase of maintenance is expected to start in March 2025 and a further NTM shall be promulgated in due course. All vessels passing Grain LNG Jetty 10 should navigate with caution, observe the LNG Jetty exclusion zone at all times and reduce speed and wash accordingly. Admiralty Chart No.1834 refers.

3. River Crouch - Excessive Wash - COURTEOUS NAVIGATION - Mariners are reminded of their duty to not only abide by the 8-knot speed limit where applicable but also to be mindful of the wake their vessels create when passing:
• Moored craft. • Vessels with tenders alongside. • Small vulnerable craft.
Please also consider and keep to a minimum your wake and wash when passing:
• Through Burnham Fairway.• Essex Marina • North Fambridge swing moorings. All areas upriver of Brandy Hole. • Paglesham swing moorings – River Roach.
4. Ministry of Defence (MOD) Shoeburyness: Range Sea Danger Area - SAFETY - QinetiQ have issued a notice providing safety information for mariners. Long notice - too long to replicate here so go, either to the above quoted webpage or go to Notices to Mariners – crouchharbour.uk
5. Dover Harbour - Lighthouse refurbishment works – lights extinguished. - on or around the dates listed below the lights in the retrospective lighthouses will be extinguished due to refurbishment works.

Southern breakwater red (Oc.R) – 3rd July 2024 to 31st July 2024
Knuckle light (Fl(4)WR) – 6th June 2024 to 15th July 2024
