1. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. -
One reduction of depth in the inbound Yantlet Secondary Channel off Coryton, River Thames. Ample water unlikely to hinder leisure craft.
2. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - Six reductions of depth north of the Wallet off Clacton-on-Sea. Lowest reduction of depth is 3m so unlikely to hinder leisure craft. But evidence of the uneven bottom off that coast no doubt providing such ‘lively’ waters in a blow.
3. ENGLAND - East Coast - Note. Marine farm. Buoyage. - Marine Farm established 2.3nm approx. due north of the Blakeney Fairway buoy. The Marine Farm with marked by 4 yellow special lit buoys.
4. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - Four reductions of depth in the Yantlet Channel, River Thames, one west of the Sea Reach 7 South PHB and the other three between Sea Reach Nos 6 and No 5 South PHBs. All unlikely to hinder leisure craft. Two images.
5. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths.- One reduction of depth down to 1.6m right at the entrance into Barking Creek, River Thames.
6. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - Two reductions of depth off Harwich, one just on the south edge of the Harwich Secondary South Channel north of Cork Ledge, the other in the South Channel, south-east of the Harwich Channel No 2 PHB. Unlikely to hinder leisure craft.
7. ENGLAND - East Coast - Lights. Pontoon. - Deletion of light and pontoon in the River Yare at the commercial wharfs (I believe at the Trinity Wharf, east bank). Not illustrated.
8. BELGIUM - Buoy. - Deletion of the yellow lit special buoy on the east side of the harbour entrance, between PHB Nos OH2 and OH6.
9. BELGIUM - Restricted area. - This Notice is based on a Belgium Notice which replicates the Dutch Notice in the week previous: Notice 2123 announcing the prohibited area around the intended Princess Elisabeth Island, west of the Westhinder Bank.
10. ENGLAND - East Coast - Current meter. Buoyage. - A temporary Notice reporting a new seabed current meter placed to the south-west of the Rough NCB with two Yellow special lit buoys.
11. ENGLAND - East Coast - Obstructions. - This temporary Notice is replicating the Port of London Authority local notices in the past two weeks reporting ordnance on the Nore Sands to avoid. There are now three separate ordnance east of the Mid Swatch SHB. Marked on the image. There are clearly on the Sand not the swatchway.
12. FRANCE - North Coast - NM Blocks. Legends. Light. Depths. - This notice has two blocks for the commercial side of the Dunkerque Port Est and two reductions of depth in the Passe de Zuydcoote – the important channel in shore between Dunkerque and Nieupoort. Worth noting.

On Tuesday 21st May 2024 two Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) events will be conducted in Blackwall Reach. To support these events a temporary exclusion zone will be established for two 25-minute periods, 2135-2200 and 2320-2345, in the vicinity of Delta Wharf as shown on the chartlet. Owners and operators are reminded that when in force no vessels are permitted within the exclusion zone. The channel will remain open to one way working along the northern bank of the channel, subject to Local Traffic Control. Local Traffic Control will be undertaken from a PLA Harbour Service Launch in vicinity of the exclusion area. All vessels intending to navigate between Blackwall Point and Bay Wharf must call ‘BLACKWALL
CONTROL’ on VHF Channel 14 as follows: Inbound at Blackwall Point; Outbound at Bay Wharf. Prior to leaving a berth, mooring or dock between Blackwall Point and Bay Wharf. Further information will be broadcast by London VTS on VHF Channel 14.

3. THE SWALE – FERRY REACH - KINGSFERRY BRIDGE - CLOSURES - due to scheduled maintenance work, Kingsferry Bridge will be closed to all navigation. Work to replace the wire lifting ropes is due to commence 7th June 2024 with completion expected by 28th July 2024. The work will be completed in 4 phases as detailed below, navigation through the bridge will be suspended for the periods stated as “shipping” and will be for the entire period specified.
Broadcasts to alert river traffic of the closures will be made regularly by Medway VTS on VHF Ch.74 during the periods shown above. Kingsferry Bridge will be communicating the upcoming closures with river users on VHF Ch.10.
Whilst, at certain states of the tide, it will be possible for some craft to pass under the bridge it is strongly recommended that this is not tried due to the low, but present, risk of an item falling from the work area onto a vessel passing beneath.
Further information may be obtained from Medway VTS on VHF Channel 74, call sign “Medway VTS” or telephone 0151 949 6148 or 0151 949 6650 (Recorded Lines) or from Kingsferry Bridge on VHF Channel 10. See the table of times in the Local List in the above quoted web page.
