Not sure I'm warming to this modern "blue water" sailing ....

I had a tour of Hugo Boss while ashore in Gosport and those caves are even smaller than they look! Although going for a sail in her seemed exciting I don't think I'd have wanted to be at sea for more than about 30 minutes.

I quite like this, a cave with an all round view. Jimmy Buffetts last yacht, and he had owned quite a few by then .

I had a tour in Gosport too, although more in Dee Caffari's time with Aviva. There were quite a lot of the ex BT Challenge round the world racing yachts in Clarence at that time. The crew quarters always struck me as torturous. Scaffolding bars amongst bare GRP in the forepeak. Going to be v bumpy trying to sleep off-watch in that cabin. The rest of it had me in awe.

Jimmy buffets boat looks a one off ? Rather like a streamlined moody DS maybe ? Or even an island packet cruiser with a facelift ? Modern boats with enclosed helming I guess are just more pricey to build and hence absence in mass market .
