should look good when finished.

Took the elbows off today. New ones where the first thing I ordered as I’m not farting about. Glad I did! Never seen a crack that extensive

The final bodge is being sorted. That’s some method of filling a transducer hole!

blimey!

look, it's not the 70s now, I'd rethink stripes in a contemporary fashion, I'd go for two tone grey (imho) but I'll think a lot before getting ALL these in. Probably would keep only the hull ones with the sunseeker and finish them at the stern somehow, although it's going to be way too low to look good.
Get 100m 10mm chain in the chainlocker to get it a bit more level :p

i ordered paint yesterday! Anthracite Grey and Dusty Grey….great minds.

problem is….the stripes are glassed in so I’d have to paint the hull or colour match…..very tricky.

I’ll have a think about the arch going white ?

I would keep all the original colors and stripes....it’s a boat for resale...a buyer will look for a well loved original boat first and foremost...after that the buyer will look for a renovated boat...just like a car..

Nah ,that sunseeker is crying out for the restomod treatment.

The red makes it look too Starskey and Hutch, I’m not sure the next buyer will be looking for 70’s original in a boat, definitely cars and motorbikes though.
A bit late now, but agree with the suggestion for a white bilge.

Good progress though G, thanks for the update

All I am saying is that in 1975 , Sunseeker would have used the best 17 year old art graduate that they could find on a Government placement scheme.....and everyone here thinks they know better?‍♂️

Thanks for all the comments and opinions. Bit to think about.

Finished the majority of the bilge. The first go hadnt dried completely as it was very cold over night hence my decking plinth! Very handy?? Some areas around the transom to do but I’ll do that when it’s all dried and I’m not balancing on one leg.

I like the grey

I can't get my head round how volvo think it's acceptable to use sealant to form a rocker cover gasket.
I suppose their thinking is that any breakaway residue will be trapped in the oil filter.
Very common in modern automotive engines. Probably quite tried and tested by now as a result.
