That’s my plan. Just waiting on a lift pump. Royal Mail 48 ain’t what it used to be!Echoing Brixham Bound its needs a good test run , primarily to test out the VP motors + sterndrives and secondly the quantify the XPS thoroughbred sea keeping first hand . Brathwaite (s) and Don Shead nibble into the muscle boat and performance market back in the day .
S/S ker have gone largely but incrementally in a different direction since .
Still some shadows , murmurings in Poole of a return to performance boats .The legacy of stuff like the XPS lives on ..
Worth restoring it imho .
Agree with others at the dock motionless it sure looks pretty and a job well done the resto .Mr G s gotten good at this now
it shows ,
I was cruising at early/mid 30’s @3000 rpm so quite alot more to go. Just off the chargers at 2600 ish was 27 knots ??
Does require lateral balancing on the tabs for sure as it’s narrow and sharp deadrise. Like trying to balance a knife ??
She needs some longer running for sure?
