Gogle you have done a great job so far ,stick at it . Then arrange to meet BruceK half way and see who gets there first. Can you do a video of your boat going through the Calf of Man at 30 Kts.

2mm aluminium sheet curved to shape by hand

Cabon fibre grey gloss wrap

8DM Carbon Fibre Vinyl Wrap (Air/Bubble Free) Gloss All Sizes All Colours | eBay

Sell adhesive inkjet printable sheet

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Printable-Transparent-Adhesive-Sticker-Quality/dp/B01N3M6LBE

Then another layer of the clear self adhesive to seal as the printer ink isn’t waterproof.

Hairdryer on the edges, wrap around to the back and trim ?

Same for switch panels

Thanks. I guessed most of that but wondered about the graphics. I found the sheets are also available in a laser printer version, which I'll need when creating a new console.

Been a good one but not sure I’d do as much again. I always say that though just after finishing?

Thanks for all the comments, advice and encouragement and hope you enjoyed the thread.

Ill update as and when and try to get more running shots etc….

Echoing Brixham Bound its needs a good test run , primarily to test out the VP motors + sterndrives and secondly the quantify the XPS thoroughbred sea keeping first hand . Brathwaite (s) and Don Shead nibble into the muscle boat and performance market back in the day .
S/S ker have gone largely but incrementally in a different direction since .
Still some shadows , murmurings in Poole of a return to performance boats .The legacy of stuff like the XPS lives on . (y) .
Worth restoring it imho .

Agree with others at the dock motionless it sure looks pretty and a job well done the resto .Mr G s gotten good at this now
it shows ,
