The flap should be closed to the supercharger normally.

supercharger comes in…pushes the flap “open” which it turn closes off the air box.

Once the supercharger cuts out….the flap should spring back and close off the supercharger allowing air to be “sucked” in via the air filter.

Have I got that right?

talk of 1 bar has confused me!

BruceK does not know where the bar is.

Went swimming today.

Both ends still attached but The after market exhaust bellow had a hole blown out of it!

God knows how. I have a genuine spare so set to putting that on. Got it located on the transom end but couldn’t do the jubilee clip up, dropped the socket etc…

After an hour of cursing and getting cold….gave up.

try again next week ??

one more reason why you should be down south with 28-29C water :p
can you beach her and do it there? you even have the legs!
Not really….ive got a few options within the Marina to sort of dry out. I’m pretty sure I can do it just on the dock. I can stand up as there’s not much water under me at retained depth. Advantage of being 6ft 4 ??

so, your port is not as filthy as ours?
can get my hand in the water (and wash it afterwards!) but that's as far as I'm willing to go.
8m under my keel, couldn't possibly stand up

Easiest way to get it on is take the ram pins out. Lift the drive and let it drop onto and into exhaust bellow. Never tried thst in the water though. Goodluck

2mm aluminium sheet curved to shape by hand

Cabon fibre grey gloss wrap

8DM Carbon Fibre Vinyl Wrap (Air/Bubble Free) Gloss All Sizes All Colours | eBay

Sell adhesive inkjet printable sheet

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Printable-Transparent-Adhesive-Sticker-Quality/dp/B01N3M6LBE

Then another layer of the clear self adhesive to seal as the printer ink isn’t waterproof.

Hairdryer on the edges, wrap around to the back and trim ?

Same for switch panels

Thanks. I guessed most of that but wondered about the graphics. I found the sheets are also available in a laser printer version, which I'll need when creating a new console.
I experimented with darker carbon fibre wrap but wasn't happy with the results. I've got some water slide transfer paper which I've yet to try, but I'm over the moon with glossy gold and silver sticker paper, or here in a brushed version. It's waterproof but I might just give it a light coat of lacquer. I used GIMP free software and a carbon fibre background texture, set the laser printer to transparency paper setting.

Thanks Mr G for the heads-up!

How did it print gold on gold paper…..I’m very confused how you did it ?

Did you print the carbon fibre background on the gold? That’s clever

There's websites with free textures so I downloaded the carbon fibre ones I liked best. Choose white in the image and it allows the gold through when printing.

I should've applied it to the surface using a fine water spray so I ended up with a couple of small air bubbles. I might print another off if it irritates me lol

Needle the bubble and press the air out ?

At the risk of polluting this thread, don't apply lacquer to this paper as it turns the gold to beige. Not totally unpleasant but clear film will be a better choice next time.

New exhaust bellow on. Got down 6am as they get upset when you going swimming in the harbour (or more a fat bloke in an I’ll fitting wetsuit floating)

A right pain in the ass job to be sure.

Here’s to old one. It was virtually new after market. The hole was in the “top”. Not sure why it happened….perhaps weak springs and thin rubber creased it and restricted exhaust gases?

The Volvo one is much stiffer rubber wise

Well the weather is superb, the seas calm and we are 1 week into a 3 week loaf about the island. Currently in Llandyn Bay off Rhosneigr. Come on down and help me drink my beer.
