That's a beauty! A good example for John Morris's interesting langage thread. :)

I'm getting fed up with Moderation, does anyone know of any less moderated forums that are boat related?

I love the banter, knowledge base and humour but waiting for the next Sin Bin hiatus is nauseous.

I don't know what your problem is with moderators here - but I certainly do not appreciate being harangued / insulted / baited and when I reply - I get banned for x days / posts deleted etc.

I'm curious to know how someone can fall foul of the moderators posting about boats unless they are being abusive or, as happened to me, for using unacceptable language.

Easy to get impacted. In fact, all the threads I posted on recently got pulled. One showed pictures of the alleged offender at Cowes - in my view, very factual - and the other ironically was volvopaul - rightly IMHO - moaning about over moderation...

In my view, they are destroying a valuable asset for the company and the community.

How much interest is there in a lightly, non-woke community moderated alternative along the lines of what the ybw forums used to be?

I followed the Cowes threads and I have to say I understand why they pulled them. Whatever asset value the forums contribute to the company would soon be obliterated by an expensive law suit and the reality is some contributors on here think it's a free for all and they can say what they like.

Ditto.
When I hear from the admins, it appears that what I say is not a problem but the language I use to say it is. 😇
