Hi all,

This is the throttle/gear control that came fitted to my boat - can anyone help me identify the make & model?

There are no markings anywhere that I can see and I haven't been able to find any pictures of the same unit; it seems to be an unusual model?

What do you need, direct replacement?
There's nothing wrong with it, in fact it's a really well made control - much sturdier than what you can buy new. I'm just curious, want to see if I can find documentation, parts, installation template, etc. It's missing the nut and knob for the gear disengage button, but I'm sure I can McGyver something for that...

It is an original Teleflex uk and has links to avoid infringing Morse patents and
it may be anA14 and the core mechanism was used as top single and twin along with side mount version
when Morse bought teleflex they ran both types but the Morse MT and MI were far more popular added to which the Teleflex was marketed by SWMF and Morse set up a chain of distribution agents
this coincided with the introduction of light load shift mechanical gearboxes which were suitable for single lever controls

personally I never liked it as being too complex for its own good

Thanks - I always thought the marine Teleflex controls originated in Gothenburg, Sweden, from a company called TX Controls. Acquired by Teleflex US in 1996. Never knew there was a UK company making these.
