I changed my MF695 for a newer Series 2 model last year, but it came without a few of the extras that my Series 1 had. One of these was the FM radio, which I quite liked, so I decided to fit a basic Fusion one on the panel. Fitting the speakers in the usual place was quite straightforward as the wiring was found to be pre-installed after cutting out the 130mm holes just below the ceiling. The problem I have is identifying the cables at the control panel end, which I presume terminate in some sort of multi-plug accessible behind the ply panel in the head. The plug that came with the radio is fitted with 12 short tail wires ...L&R speakers for two zones, plus the 12v + and -, also a 12v+ ouput for an amplifier and a dim trigger wire., but I doubt very much that the pre-wired one in that location (if fitted) will be the same. It's difficult to see what's what behind the panel as the wiring has been mostly bunched up in large knots and secured with tie-wraps for 'neatness'. I'm reluctant to pull all the 'knots' apart for fear of inadvertently unplugging something, but I think I'm going to have to. It would help if I knew what I'm looking for, so the question is :- does anyone know how the wires are configured where they arrive at the radio end of the harness? If it's a multi-plug what does it look like ie number of wires and their colours (the wires at the speaker end are simply red and black on the left and right zone 1 speakers, but I'm not sure the boat is pre-wired for zone 2 {and don't know their colours if it is} ).
Any ideas? anyone?

Many thanks for your response. Your wiring is considerably more tidy than mine. Despite a good poke around I have still been unable to identify the speaker etc wires that connect to the back of the radio. I'm now thinking I might abandon the prefitted speaker wires and simply use the leads that came with the Fusion kit. There is some handy trunking from the roof void down the starboard door pillar which then goes forward under the floor. Hopefully this will make routing simpler.
Thanks again.
