The wife just took me out to the port for a drink.....of course I deserve it. I’m the type of man most women dream of marrying. I do as I’m told....don’t answer back....in fact, you wouldn’t know I was in the same room
Is this because you are embarrassed to drive your tesla ?

Have you put a sticker on it "purchased before musk became a a*se h*l* "

Ninety percent of my conversational speech consists of two words…´yes’…and…’dear’
There is -or was- at least one boat actualled called that!
“ Yes Deah”

Perhaps a dinghy could be called ‘Follow Along’?
Fair winds and free beer to you !

Tesla shares have always been volatile….Elon has said that they are not for the faint of heart.
But it is important to remember that the share price (market capitalisation) floats between three levels:
1) worth more than ALL the major car manufacturers combined
2) worth more than EVERY car manufacturer on the planet
3) worth more than EVERY car manufacturer on the planet…twice over

If Tesla had not existed
What EV was next on your list?

Anyway, chaps, could I ask that we don't wreck this brilliant photo thread with a tesla fight?
Agreed. Much as I find Elon Musks antics and attitudes repugnant, I seem to recall it was Adolf Hitler and Nazi Germany that produced the VW Beetle that went on to be rather successful as a car.

If Tesla had not existed….all EVs would have looked like it belonged to the Jetsons, and would only be practical for inner city commuting. Tesla showed that practical cars could be fully electric.
Personally speaking, before I thought about Teslas…I was in the market for a plug in hybrid….so, probably the big Mitsubishi…because the Toyota that I really wanted was way too expensive

In an attempt to veer back on topic... I'm a bit disappointed by how little electrification there is in the Caribbean. Small islands, short journeys, little to no domestic oil production (outside of T&T) and a massive solar resource, should make switching to EVs a complete no brainer. But outside of the French islands I don't think I've seen a single EV.
I wonder if it's just a lack of capital? I know that some of these little countries have very high import tariffs for things like cars, so that won't help at all.

Getting an EV repaired on a small island is probably prohibitive

Isla de Margarita, (as with Venezuela) the electricity is so unreliable that recharging may take a day or two.
When we visited there on our yacht diesel was incredibly cheap at not much more than 1p per litre. Was a bit of a punchy place though with a good chance of getting shot.

Didn't stop us having a fab run ashore though.
