Getting an EV repaired on a small island is probably prohibitive
General lack of support might be a factor, but I don't think there's a big difference in complexity between modern ICEV and EV. Both are completely reliant on sensors and electronics.

The Caribbean islands do have more than their fair share of older vehicles, but there's are also brand new ones being imported in to many of the islands.

I'd have thought that some of the more affluent islands would be starting to see a switch by now, even if just for public sector vehicles, or those belonging to wealthy incomers.

I'm surprised you say that having lived in various places, on my travels, Africa, South America I've found they can cobble anything together and make it work, risking you life with it though is another matter....them not having the mot tests and safety stuff is a bonus...

Oh I agree…I’ve come across some amazing bush mechanics. But repairing an EV is a different level

All at sea. You know what it’s like when you sense that this will be that perfect day for boating

Actually I tell a lie…I’ve been tracking this day for a week…it’s been a crappy month or more…and tomorrow the bad weather starts up again

You'll never catch any fish going at that speed.
