Mooring help

Christchurch is the Best place to keep a yacht if sailing is not your main priority

Seems a fair comment, then there's a marina near my old mooring with almost 24/7 access, we saw a lot of couples going to boats ( usually large mobo's and not usually same girlie on the arm of same bloke ) but boat moving as in going somewhere activity was remarkably scarce.:)

He seems to have gone for a Jaguar 22, so thanks Andy, for your help with looking for an Anderson 22.

AlanT,

the Jaguar 22 should be pretty cheap, around the £2,000 mark or less.

Tell your chum to be very careful about the hull bottom; I've seen 2 lift keel examples with the keel pounded concave into the ( underbuilt ) hull, and other forumites have mentioned the same.

If it's not too late, try starting a thread 'Jaguar 22 lift keel' or similar.

I use craftinsure.com They weren't the lowest quote but the only one lower I got wanted a survey done, which would have probably cost me ten times what I would have saved! Frankly, I find the idea that anyone would want a survey done on something that cost less than a second hand car a joke.

Just spoken to them, extremely helpful & much common sense.
Quite a novelty from an insurance company.
