Mooredyachts as prison ships

There's a ship off the south coast with plenty of containers that could be emptied and used to house a few hundred thousand. Then chain gangs daily to clean up the debris and repair/refloat it.

Let's combine incarceration and global warming. I suggest Triremes moored in harbours, with the oars connected to generators, so that the slaves can produce electricity for any remaining population who are still not inside.

Seems a great idea, do a bit of robbing and pilaging and then get sentenced to spend time on my boat in Southampton.

Would the government deliver supplies if I cant leave and I assume they would take over my mooring fees. This just gets better.

Hmm, more likely to get banged up with three happy slappers and an axe murderer on a Twister on the Hamble. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

No not Southampton, it's the Isleof Wight.

The fences are already going up around the Folly pontoon and Island Harbour and the convicts will be bussed down from Parkhurst and Albany. The Yacht Squadron Haven is being commandeered for parking a prison ship!

Ye Gods !! I have just realised why the navy is decommissioning so many warships and leaving them moored in Portsmouth harbour .

Its a new government initiative to transfer Home Office liabilities to the MOD.

What a Brilliant stroke Mr Reid

I do wish you had included a space between Moored and Yachts.

Each time the title catches my eye I read it as Moody Yachts.
