Reading this interesting exchange reminds me that in life some things may never change. What hope for the middle east folk to get on! Still Martin and Rev Ian seem the best of buddies now, so there may be hope for the age old barney between sooties and raggies afterall.

In all walks of life nice folk are just pleasant nice folk, righteous indignation is the preserve of the truley wronged, and inconsiderate gurriers are and always will be thugs, but most folk are neither, so there is less of a problem than we might like to think. Road rage, air rage and now perhaps wave rage!

Gurriers?
That word got Me for a bit.
Yer A grand fellet Ocean Froggie that yer are.
I,m an eejit for not remembering what a gurrier is.
I done some ecker and Oil have to tell the fambly all about yer.
I,m only coddin!
Yep it takes all sorts , there will always be someone who is acting like a cabbage.
If we get back to Lakey's origional writings. Not so much a Col Regs thing.More about Manners.
On a Lake where everybody has to live together.
OK so out on the Briney Col Regs and Manners should be observed.
Just this evening I was chatting to a Couple and their offspring.
Just come ashore after a nice day in their little Maxum.
Total newbies.
3 weeks ago I passed them out on a PB 2 Course.
Now they were asking Me about water Skiing techniques!
Sorry ses I , not the correct bod for that info, I replied.
Mum was particularly concerened about collisions and which way to go when She had a skiier in the water.
The particular place in the Menai Straits is popular with Watersports Persons.
So Today it was quite busy.
Yachts and Cruising Mobos about as well.
Everybody is entitled to use the Place I told Her (She is a smart looking bint by the way, which prolonged the Conversation, those tight wet suits!!!)
Phew ,getting all hot and bothered now!
Any way back to the Point /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I said to Her t,aint a Col Regs thing.
Tiss a question of keeping a sharp lookout.
Other eejit's ,Yacht people who think "Power gives way" etc etc.
Remember , I said to Her some folks out there don't have a Clue what is going on.

There is plenty of room in this Area for Raggies and Mobos to adjust their position to avoid You.
So chill out if a bunch of raggies are firtling about. Or Mobo Cruiser types who are on a passage and are worried cos they are in a crowded channel.
Grab yer flask have a cuppa, let the kids chill catch mackeral etc.
Let the Old Man phone the office or summat ( He works too hard and is never Home, that's why I keep chatting up His Missus!)
Anyway, back to the point.
It's all about awareness of other Boat users and Types.
"Manners Maketh Man."
Somebody said.
Tiss relevant in all Walks of Life.
Twas particularly nice to see these Newbies really enjoying thier New Found hobby.
Would be nice if the same "Saying" could be directed/used by Peeps on water.
Cos that is what it is all about really, to Pleasure boat users.
Cos that's what We are.
Whichever Propulsion Method is used.Take pleasure in Your boat and heed and try to understand Folks and their different Boats.
On the other Hand if some Boaty type cuts You up or whatever.
Follow Him Her ashore and give the Culprit a kick in the mebs!
What say's You Froggie! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

This was more a manners thing as yer Man posted.
Flip the Mobo guy, like what's the rush, the place aint that big.( winderemere)
As I posted, it could have been ignorance not manners. Or a bit of both.

Goonya boyya! Froggie. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

See look what You've done now Lakey!
Good innit.
Thread Drift?
Off on a Tangent.
Could that be a dinghy make?
Tacking, Tactless,
Gybing Gibbing.
Joking aside.
Don't matter.
It's all good stuff.
Mucking about on the River, Lake ,Sea.
