This says he went missing in the North Sea from the 21st though - I'm not sure how that tallies with where this boat was found? Entirely possible they don't know their North Atlantic from their North Sea I guess.

It's a Colin Archer design although that is no guarantee of how well built it was. Let’s hope he was picked up by a friendly submarine surfacing to meet him. But that seems an unlikely scenarioOne interesting factor:
