The port police in pireus acted very promptly and clarified the situation. Official explanation was that there was a language problem. Well ok. Correct result

Chris is being modest. He has done tremendous work in untangling Greek bureaucracy on behalf of yachtsmen. His efforts were recognised with an award from the Cruising Association last winter. A good man to have on our side.

He is pretty much single-handedly responsible for the Porto Heli issue being resolved. He is also pretty much single-handedly responsible for the 18-month transit log issue for non-EU flagged yachts being sorted out too. Chris is one of those behind the scenes people who do a huge amount of good but get very little recognition. It's people like Chris that make the Cruising Association a very effective advocate for the cruising sailor.

For those of us who are not member of the CA , we also apparate and recognise the work Chris have done regarding Greece for all us yachtsmen and women ,
thank you Chris ,
althoughI it's going to have to be an act of God because even a court order has'nt stop the going ons in Massilonghi.
One has to wonder what stunt Mr Y will come up with next .

Knowing Jo personal , as we do , we can only wish him and The Marina the best of luck .
It seen he is trying hard to meet the yachtsmen there half way with his 30% discount .

If anyone is planning just to park their boat for the winter months , Messilonghi is a good option and if that was our plain we would have no problem going there again .
But has full time Liveaboard who need to do maintenance, until certain person kicks the bucket , I not sure it would be an option , which is a real shame has for tho of us who have used the Marina know very well it a good place for wintering out .

Thanks for your thoughts !!! -Its actually quite fun in the quiet winter months to take on a small project.

I certainly hope that Messy can sort itself out - I remember Yannie very well. If you want something out of him, be really nice to him - that throws him!
