A million thanks for all the regulars who have helped to convert me to the dare I say, the stinker club?

Piccolo is sold and is the end of an era for me. This year Ive gone through which flybridge? which engine and which cruiser!!!

Judith hated it 'up top' and felt unsafe that high above the waves so we ended up going for a sports cruiser.

I made an offer on a sealine 34 which thankfully came to nothing. Nothing against Sealine, just the boat I offered on. It came with free two years of seaweed growth and a dismal service history. (The boat was described as in excellent condition to me.)

So now its come down to one boat only which I am looking for, a fairline Targa 34.

If you know of anything please let me know, Im seriously interested in buying one.

I know it must be a pain in the ars* to keep getting the same old questions but I found the Forums responses helpful and sometimes a bit tongue in cheek. I reckon this time next year I'll be able to advise someone how to fill up without overflowing the fuel and allowing it to flow down the fresh water inlet whilst filling fuel and water at the same time, (balleaux, that was an expensive mistake)!!!! -Bi lingual you know!

Things will be different for me next year, Im used to filling up for £20 and sometimes I may even have to top the tank up at the end of the season. Oh well, no more luffing up, baggy wrinkles and to loose cunninghams for me.

Hope to be sorted out soon.

Cliff

Welcome to stinkpot land, may your bonuses be large ones! You'll need them for the fuel.

You did make me laugh with your fuel and water escapade! Why on earth did a boat have the water and fuel fillers near each other?? You won't find that on a Targa 34 - which, incidentally, is a great boat. Wish I had one.

In return for your increased fuel bills, you will enjoy going places without the hassle of "ragging it". More time on the water = more enjoyment = value for money.

Here in Porthmadog, many of the sailing boats simply stay on their moorings all year round, which is a great shame - millions of pounds worth of them!

I left mine on its mooring this winter, and given reasonable weather, I will be out on it this coming weekend. Here's hoping!
